    Coaches that make a difference!

Fantastic coaching team who really take care and gain the trust of the children. My son loves water but used to hate diving but after the second lesson with coach Warren he was happily diving all thanks to the trust and encouragement from the coach!

It's absolutely amazing to watch the coaches and their approach with kids. Perhaps, above all, for me as a parent something very important has been that on day one and thereafter I feel this strong sense of trust that my son is in the best hands.

A lesson that is only 30 min may seem not enough to make much of a difference, however a 30 min lesson with a coach who is excellent at what he does, who is professional as well as has an amazing approach with kids and knows how to get the best out of each kid whilst making sure it's safe, fun and exciting, is 30 min that make a world of a difference! Thank you!

Our son takes swimming classes with you at Royal Wharf on a Sunday. This has been a great ritual for him for over a year. We just extended again for 12 weeks. His teacher Warren is very good, and very effective in transmitting his enthusiasm for swimming through the classes. We are looking forward to many more sessions with him.

Many thanks to you and to Warren and best regards

Hi Lesley I have to say I just love the lessons here at Crowne Plaza, location is so convenient and the facilities are just fantastic. It is well worth the fees I pay. I hope that lessons continue here long term and at weekends Thanks for all your commitment into providing the best services for children's swimming.

Laura is an amazing teacher. Maya has been learning from her for the last two programmes and she has developed greatly. We love Laura's teaching style and methodology. I know the other two parents also feel the same (Enrique's parents and Reet's mum). I will also be looking to book some summer sessions with Laura at NPW. Thank you so much.

Hi Lesley We have moved to the US and so won't be swimming in London for a few years. I just wanted to say thank you, to you and to Jose for so many years of fantastic lessons for the boys. Because of you my boys have a love of swimming and a necessary life skill.

Thanks again and best wishes to you for the future of Love to Swim.

    Kindest regards
June ( and Joe and Zach)

We contacted Lesley for summer private class for my 4.5 years old this year. We happened to be in town for 6 weeks and the group class didn't work out with our schedule. Lesley and Coach Laura were amazing and professional. My little one managed to progress very well with the fun filled sessions with Coach Laura. He passed both Stage 1 and 2 after 11 sessions.

He was in group class somewhere else but was never able to focus. With Laura, she managed to help our little one to gain the confidence to be in deeper end of the pool, and managed to get his form much better.

Thanks Team Love to Swim. We will be back again.

Just wanted to say that James loved his first lesson with Jose and I quote "that only felt like about 10 minutes and when I got out I just wanted to get back in and swim more!". I was watching and he got so much out of the half hour and was so impressed with what Jose had him doing within just the first lesson!

  9. Tripti says:

Love to swim is aptly named.  Lesley and her friendly, professional team make swimming accessible and fun.  My children have progressed in technique and confidence at a rapid rate.  I appreciate the instructors being in the water with the children, attention to detail and tender loving care.

Both my girls have gone up a whole grade in half a term... Thank you!

  10. Amal says:

I really enjoyed learning with Zack. I’ve taken swimming lessons before I have never been able get rid of the panic I feel when I get into the water. After working with Zack for just 4 lessons , I now don’t panic and actually love being in the water. If you could , could you please let Zack know that I am very thankful to him for that .

    Hi Lesley!

I had a really good time meeting Danielle. Following my lesson, I went to the pool the next day and swam 2.5k! I hardly felt it, it made such a difference to have worked on my technique. Please extend my thanks to her, Danielle’s enthusiasm and love of swimming is very encouraging and gave me a really good boost. I think I could probably do with one more lesson to work on my breast stroke. Is there any chance of another lesson!?

  12. Shantelle says:

Hi, T has done so well with her swimming and Danielle has been a wonderful teacher, thank you very much.

  13. Poi says:

I just want to commend Anna for the way she conducts the lessons. She really makes the effort to explain the techniques regardless of the size of the class. She also pays attention to each child’s techniques. I like how Anna is specific and verbalises clearly to a child what he or she has done well when she’s giving praise. Similarly, if a child is struggling in the pool, she encourages the child by telling he or she specifically what to do rather than giving general instructions. For example, Anna would say: “lift those legs higher & let me see the face of your feet!” rather than “keep kicking” (which really is demoralising to a child who is kicking as hard as she can but just not doing it right:-)). I am not the only mum who notices Anna’s dedicated and child friendly style of teaching so I hope she knows we certainly appreciate her hard work:-)

  14. Sonie says:

Mihir has loved his lessons and wants to go swimming – a big positive leap for him and Paul has been the most wonderful instructor – calm, encouraging and incredibly patient. We are relocating to india this summer and won’t be attending lessons next term but if and when we are in london/uk next we shall definitely join up!

  15. Susie says:

    Hi Lesley

I finished my lessons with Paul tonight and wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much, he was absolutely amazing. A brilliant teacher, very patient, always cheerful and enthusiastic and most importantly of all, he got me to swim!

  16. Raj says:

I just wanted to say thank you for the great work Jose has done in the month or so ‘M’ has been swimming. She is now “swimming” without a float so job done!

  17. Quoc says:

    Hi Lesley,

We’ve really enjoyed the lessons – Ian and Pat’s teaching is really top notch! Both myself and Q**** can swim a bit now, and we’re really happy with the progress we’ve been making from week to week. I managed to do a length (with a bit of sporadic breathing!) for the first time yesterday and well chuffed :)

  18. Suprana says:

Just wanted to let you know – did my first solo full length swim today at FTW on my b’day. There was nobody else around so had pool to myself. Will keep practising :) Happy to recommend you.

  19. Sukhy says:

    Hi Lesley,

I just wanted to say thank you for your help these last few months!! Swimming was something I gave up on years ago and always just thought it would be one of those things I would never be able to do. Now it’s actually getting to the point where I look forward to it on the weekend!!!

  20. Alison says:

I just wanted to say a belated thank you very much to you and Claire for helping me overcome my fear of the water. I went on holiday and had the most wonderful time and my confidence in the pool just grew and grew. I was up and down on the fun slides as wellJ. Everyone was completely shocked at the new swimming me esp the husband who has being trying for 20 years to persuade me to learn.

  21. Amanda Bennett says:

Being a 27 year old non-swimmer I was a bit worried about taking swimming lessons so late on but due to an impending diving holiday I decided to bite the bullet and book lessons!!

Having tried and failed in the past at finding a teacher that I felt confident with I was very happy when I met Lesley as she put me at ease right away. I was in total shock that by the end of my first lesson I was able to swim the length of the pool 3 times!! I now feel totally confident in the water and that wouldn’t have happened without Lesley’s help – I would feel confident recommending Lesley 110%.

  22. Amna says:

As an child I always dreaded swimming lessons but now as an adult I enjoy swimming. All thanks to Lesley’s ability to make swimming lessons easy and fun.
I would definitely recommend Lesley as an instructor.

    Thank you again.

  23. Romana says:

During my lesson Lesley was very supportive and encouraged me to keep trying to practice the strokes. We covered front crawl, breaststroke and backstroke. Rather than just continue to take my money, she made me realise I do not need to have continuous lessons but needed to practice on my own and develop my own confidence in the water as I did know how to swim, I just had not done it in a long time. I definitely recommend Lesley as an instructor; she is very very down to earth and honest.

  24. Arathi says:

I just want to say a big, big thank you for the swimming lesson on Saturday. I can’t believe I learnt so much from you in just one lesson. I was so nervous to begin with but I couldn’t stop smiling by the end of it!

M said he would pay for another 2 lessons if I liked the first one, and I would definitely like to continue learning from you.

    Thank you again,

  25. Alan says:

“In spite of (or maybe because of !) swimming lessons at school I’d never quite managed to learn and in fact had always been afraid of water. I also felt a little embarrassed at being an adult non-swimmer: it seemed like everyone I knew could swim. However, having spent a couple of beach holidays in Greece sweltering on the beach while my wife swam around happily in the sea I decided, at the age of 42, it was time to take the plunge. Via swim.com I made contact with Lesley and signed up for half a dozen lessons in February 2010.

Lesley quickly put me at ease, taking time to make sure I was comfortable in the water before going on to teach me the basics. She also made learning fun, and was patient with me, but also good at setting me small achievable targets. After a few lessons I could happily put my head under water and leg kick 5 metres, and after a few more I could do the full front crawl for around 10 metres.

Lesley keeps her lessons interesting by mixing up the exercises and she also had me trying floating and kicking on my back, and I quickly found I was very comfortable with backstroke. Since I was so happy with my progress by now I signed up for some more lessons and a few weeks later I could swim backstroke for half a length of the pool.

Four months after my first lesson, I’m just back from our summer holiday in Greece and this time instead of sitting by the pool or at the beach in 38 degree heat I was in the water every day – not only did I swim in the hotel pool but for 12 days in a row I went into the beautiful Aegean Sea and either swam or just floated on my back – and loved it ! What a transformation !

So if you’re a complete non-swimmer or are afraid of the water and think swimming’s for other people, not for you – think again !”

  26. Rebekah says:

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help! I’m sure I wouldn’t have learned nearly as much in a class and I now feel confident I can continue to improve on my own.

I also think you’re a really gifted and committed teacher, you’re ability to break the elements of the stroke is very helpful and I’m sure many students who’ve struggled to learn elsewhere will flourish with you. Considering your sense of humour you still managed not to fall about laughing when I demonstrated my self taught hybrid swimming stroke in my first lesson- for that you deserve recognition!
