AUTISM SWIM

We’re super excited to announce the launch of our specialised Autistic Swim programme!

Lessons take place at our Stepney All Saints Secondary School pool on Saturdays, with the 2024-2025 schedule yet to be released.

Classes run with a ratio of 3:1 of swimmers to teacher. All Love to Swim staff are fully qualified Swim England or STA registered swimming teachers with experience in delivering lessons to all ages and abilities including pupils with SEN. Our selected teachers have completed additional training whereby they are Aquatics Autism Swim certified.

We are currently accepting enrolment for our intensive inductions sessions on Saturday mornings. Each session is 30mins and parents and or carers must complete a consultation form prior to booking. Please see the flow diagram below.

Testimonials:
“I would like to say how pleased we are with Love to Swim autism sessions. The number of children in the group is ideal… (the instructor) will also demonstrate the actions and sometimes she will use visual aid cards. I am happy to get in the water and assist my child. (The swimmer) really looks forward to Saturday mornings, it's the highlight of her week.”
“The autism-friendly swim class run by Love to Swim is a safe space for my son to grow in his confidence in the water. The specially trained teachers understand how to break information down for the children's different learning styles. There is the right mix of patience and challenge, all delivered at a pace that keeps them engaged. The ambition is still there for these SEN kids and my boy is going to receive a stage award and badge! I'm so happy we have found Love to Swim's course.”
